Are You Engaging With The Right People?

Every year, CBSR facilitates a limited number of customized, experiential convenings for organizations interested in developing and strengthening partnerships in order to advance corporate responsibility and sustainability in Canada.

Our unique process begins with an exploration of your current organizational objectives, priorities and desired outcomes. Organizations with complementary priorities are then contacted on your behalf after an iterative approval process. Following a series of preliminary interviews, CBSR organizes in-person workshops to further explore key concepts and areas of potential collaboration.

Custom convening sessions often lead to further partnership development opportunities. CBSR also offers support with the development of strong, meaningful partnerships on behalf of members or clients.

On November 10th, 2015, CBSR held a custom convening session on behalf of World Animal Protection in order to engage ESG analysts in a discussion around a new animal welfare benchmark gaining momentum in Europe. Hosted at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre in Toronto, the engagement included a tailored presentation on the Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) led by Expert Advisor, Dr. Rory Sullivan.

“CBSR’s custom convening service offered us the kind of access that we needed to make substantive change to the way analysts measure and report on farm animal welfare. The session exceeded my expectations. When I look at the participant lists, we had all the organizations we could have hoped for.”

– Darren Vanstone, Corporate Engagement Manager, World Animal Protection.
