The Social Purpose Business
More and more businesses are exploring how they can invest in their communities to in order to help solve issues in society. This is why the United Way of the Lower Mainland has positioned itself to become the top resource for community intelligence, training, and involvement in incorporating social purpose into businesses. It’s their hope that through this the Social Purpose Business can be born.
To help develop a climate in which Social Purpose Business can thrive, United Way (and United Way Centraide Canada) recently submitted recommendations on the concept to the Federal Government’s Social Innovation and Social Finance consultation. CBSR’s Executive Director Leor Rotchild was one of the contributors to the recommendations, writing a letter of support.
