OLG Releases 2014-15 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report
OLG has released its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report. This is OLG’s third CSR report and the second one that follows the framework of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
The report describes OLG’s accomplishments in key areas of social responsibility, including:
· Responsible Gambling and efforts to address problem gambling;
· Earning and keeping customers’ trust;
· Supporting employees and their engagement in communities;
· Strengthening communities; and
· Reducing OLG’s impact on the environment.
Each year, through this report, OLG will continue to demonstrate the progress it is making in these areas. OLG’s goal is to ultimately become a global leader when it comes to social responsibility and how we report on our CSR efforts.
Corporate social responsibility has been part of OLG’s culture for 40 years. Employees live it every day when they deliver our Responsible Gambling programs, provide service that earns and keeps our customers’ trust, become engaged in programs that support and strengthen communities, and reduce OLG’s impact on the environment.
Since our first lottery draw in 1975, $42 billion in OLG proceeds have been invested in Ontario. In fiscal 2014-15, OLG delivered $2 billion to the province and its citizens and provided $129 million in direct funding to communities that host our facilities.
